Most coaches complete Step 1 (invite a player) — but far fewer reach Step 2 (review stats, 37 fires) and almost none reach Step 3 (plan a round, only 5 fires). The checklist is dropping off steeply. Step 2 is trending upward in April, suggesting coaches are discovering stats browsing as a value driver. Step 3 remains almost untouched — the core coaching workflow is not being reached.

Of 59 coaches who engaged with the coaching setup checklist, 15 (25%) actually formed a new connection — the request was sent and accepted. Average time from activation to connection added: ~22 hours. This is the clearest measure of the checklist driving real network growth.
8 coaches sent a request but it wasn't accepted within 30 days — a 35% acceptance gap. This could be improved by making it easier for invited players to accept, or by nudging coaches to follow up. Only 3% ultimately start a round plan, meaning connection formation is not yet translating into coaching workflow adoption.

Step 2 (stats_viewed) is growing through April while Step 1 (invited) stabilises — coaches are progressing further into the checklist over time. Step 3 (planned_round_viewed) is just beginning to appear in late April, suggesting a small cohort is reaching the full coaching workflow. The "View Stats" CTA on Step 2 appears to be an effective driver.

The connection rate was already improving Jan → Feb (+9pp), but the rate of increase accelerated after Coach Activation launched in mid-March. March added another +2.89pp and April is on track for +1.59pp more — the trend is consistently upward and the feature launch coincides with a sustained step-change in connection behaviour.
Correlation ≠ causation — other factors (app updates, seasonal effects) may contribute. However, the 25 coaches who directly formed connections via the coaching setup checklist represent real, attributable network growth. At 32.95% in April, connection conversion is at its highest point in the 3-month window.
